Soap

Use like any soap in the bathroom for regular use. However, this soap has more than one use…..

Saltwater Use (Coconut Crazy Soap)

Did you know that coconut oil soap is the only soap that lathers in saltwater? This makes it great to use by the sea. Nothing harmful is deposited into our waterways.

Laundry Use (Simple Soap)

If using as laundry soap, wet both the bar and the garment/item with water and rub on the stain. Then wash as per usual. This soap is one of the best to use to remove stubborn stains. You can even use the soap in the mop bucket by using a soap shaker cage

Kitchen Use

I use these bar soaps in the kitchen also. If you have one of those plastic net bags that fruit/vegetables come in from the supermarket you can upcycle the bag and repurpose it to hold the soap and use it in the sink. Another alternative is to use a soap shaker/cage (available here) and create suds in the kitchen sink to wash the dishes.

Shampoo Bar

Never had shampoo in a bar before? We have you covered.

Regular Use

Rub the wet bar between wet hands to create a nice lather. Using your fingers like a comb, smooth the lather through wet hair. Gently massage into your scalp to work up a good lather. You can also rub the soap directly on your scalp and it has no problem lathering. Rinse thoroughly and repeat if desired.

If you have been using commercially bought shampoo for a period of time, please allow for an adjustment period in using this shampoo bar for your hair.

How to condition your hair. There are a few options to try to condition your hair

1. Use conditioner if needed.

2. Some people choose to use an Apple Cider Vinegar (the vinegar) rinse on their hair.

For Dry Hair:

Mix 2-3 teaspoons Apple Cider Vinegar in 1 cup of  distilled water

For Normal Hair:

Mix 5 teaspoons Apple Cider Vinegar in 1 cup of distilled water

Mix this up and place in a spray bottle for easy application. If you feel this is not strong enough or too weak, then keep adding/reducing the vinegar to change the ratio as needed.

(place in a spray bottle, spray on your hair, leave for a few minutes, then rinse off, if you can it will be even better if you leave it on your hair and air dry).

There may be a transition period when moving from commercial liquid shampoos and conditioners, the hair may feel a little heavy for a few weeks, this is the normal detoxification process of your hair and scalp.

3. You may not need anything else on your hair to condition it, even the ACV rinse, - especially if you have short hair, our shampoo bar is sufficient.

Toothpaste

How about toothpaste in a jar?

Our Toothpaste does not contain Fluoride!

Regular Use

Take a small amount (a pea sized amount) from the container with a spoon (cosmetic spatulas available here), and either place it on your toothbrush or directly in your mouth (swish it around your mouth). Then brush your teeth as per normal. Should you swallow some of the toothpaste, it is not harmful as all the ingredients are organic and food grade.

Moisturiser

For face and body

Regular Use

Scrape a small amount (a pea sized amount) from the container, warm it in your hands and apply liberally on your face, body or anywhere you need. To use as a body moisturiser, repeat the process.
