Heralded in by the industrial revolution, scientists discovered ways to make non-soap products called ‘detergents’ in the 1900s. The age of convenience has driven the soap market to create non-soap products with petrochemicals, synthetic perfumes and other potentially harmful chemicals that are found in many products today.

These products are a far cry from the once natural method of creating soap and are often stored in plastic bottles, harmful to the environment.

With the continuing impact humans have on the planet, we are challenged to return to a method of living from generations ago.

Delizia Naturally aims to do its part in addressing environmental responsibility three-fold:

—   using 100% filtered, cleaned and rendered Tallow (fat that would otherwise be discarded)

—   using 100% filtered, cleaned and safe re-purposed cooking oil (often discarded in landfill or down drains making its way into our waterways)

—   storage of products in non-plastic containers

Oceans and waterways are being filled with non-biodegradable plastic. Delizia Naturally is stored in either glass or metal containers, is not stored in plastic and encourages zero waste living.

Delizia Naturally Soap is made using the traditional cold process method that retains all the natural glycerin, making a very moisturising bar that will nurture your skin.

Delizia Naturally is Palm oil free, Paraben free, Sulphate free, Petrochemical free, SLS & ALS free, Propylene Glycol free, Triclosan free, EDTA free and free of harsh detergents! What a list!

Not only do I use hand rendered beef tallow I also re-purpose cooking oil, which would also be discarded. I convert the oil into soap. See an article of others doing so here: https://www.earthisland.org/journal/index.php/articles/entry/from_grease_to_soap_how_one_woman_is_repurposing_used_oil/
